Your Counselling Team

Leia Newland is a compassionate and dedicated professional who is adept at creating a safe and non-judgmental space for all. She is trained in trauma-informed care, recognizing the profound impact that trauma can have on individuals and working sensitively to address their needs. In addition to trauma Leia has experience working with ADHD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, sex therapy, disability, addiction and more.

Leia's approach is deeply rooted in collaboration and empowerment. She thinks systemically about her clients' contexts, recognizing the interconnectedness of their experiences and environments. By working together with her clients, Leia helps them to identify their strengths and resources, empowering them to find solutions that are tailored to their unique circumstances and goals.

With a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, Leia stays informed about the latest research and best practices in counselling and therapy. Leia is the owner of Rose Door Counselling and is contracted to other private practice counselling services in the Vancouver area.
